"Electrical trimmers are cleaner
and easier to operate."

Most people that start
looking for a grass trimmer immediately jump to the gas powered grass
trimmers. These types of trimmers are wonderful, but if you have a
small lot that just needs 20 minutes worth of trimming here and there
each week, then the gas powered ones are probably too much for the job.
A good electric powered trimmer will do the job just fine with a few
less hassles.
Electric powered trimmers have some obvious advantages over the gas
powered grass trimmers. Mainly, there is no pulling of a start cord. So
those of us with tricky shoulders and elbows don't have to go through
the extra effort. They also tend to be cleaner. There is no gasoline
and in many cases oil that need to be added.
The key to finding a good electric trimmer is finding a good name brand
product, and one that is powerful enough to cut down the most stubborn
weeds without having to wrestle with it. These types of trimmers
usually are the more expensive versions.
You won't find a lot of Stihl or Echo electric trimmers, these brands
mostly concentrate on the cordless version. However, upper-end
Craftsman electric trimmers have proven to be a popular choice and
quality electrical trimmer.
The number one mistake people make when buying these types of electric
grass trimmers is buying the super low-cost versions. You can see many
examples of these types of trimmers by picking the sales section of
your Sunday paper. Most of these low cost trimmers are severely
underpowered and are just not useful, and simply will not last.
There's nothing worse in the world of trimmers than having to hold your
trimmer steady next to a weed for 2 minutes while it slowly works away
at chipping it down. After doing this a few times, believe me you'll
pass on getting the trimmer out again. Stick with the mid to upper end
trimmers with a better known name brand.
